This week, my kitchen table was remarkably uncluttered, so I decided to take a mass produce photo. The downside is the lighting is not as good. The upside is you get the full effect of everything that comes in a box (a dinner for two + gourmet + half-dozen eggs).

Starting from the left and going clockwise…

  • corn
  • butternut squash
  • dozen eggs
  • granola
  • creamed honey
  • peaches, nectarines, and plums!
  • two Honeydew-type melons
  • Romano green beans
  • tomatoes
  • garlic
  • potatoes (Austrian crescents?)
  • lettuce

Last night for supper, Chris and I feasted on our local summer veggies. This supper was so yummy and local that I just had to take a picture and post it.

Broiled Asian eggplant rounds with goat cheese, tomato and basil (We did the broiling in the toaster oven to keep the heat down.)

Beets, goat cheese, and sorrel

Corn on the cob

It was a satisfying way to end a summer evening!

Enjoy your food!
