I was never a fan of cauliflower until I started eating the local stuff. Steamed florets with a little salt and pepper are surprisingly tasty. The stems need to cook longer, so I either start them sooner or save them for another dish.
The Bordeaux spinach has a sweet flavor that’s hard to beat. I’m just sad I used up all my local bacon already. Spinach salad with hot bacon dressing sounds wonderful. In fact, I may have to cave and buy some at Kroger.

The lettuce looks lovely. We’ll be done with last week’s lettuce as of lunch today, and then I’ll wash and spin this bunch.
I’m going to do something a little different with the cilantro – shrimp and cilantro dumplings as suggested here. I’ll get some wrappers and ginger at Kroger along with the bacon.

In addition to my regular half-dozen eggs, I ordered a dozen from the online store. I’m making biscotti this year to give as gifts. At least I’m going to try. I’ll start tomorrow and let you know how it goes.
